This is a ride on board The Canada Line - one of TransLink's rapid transit 'skytrain' routes - though this line is operationally separate from the other two lines in operation. The Canada Line opened in 2009 linking Downtown Vancouver with YVR Airport and Richmond in just 30 minutes. The line is operated with twenty LRV units built by Hyundai-Rotem with a maximum frequency of every three minutes (one train every six minutes to YVR Airport and one train every six minutes to Richmond). Most of the route is underground, from Marine Drive all the way to Waterfront. The route goes underneath Cambie street as far as Olympic Village, where we go into bored tunnel under False Creek and through Yaletown before running underneath Granville Street to Waterfront. Previously the rapid transit between Richmond and Downtown Vancouver was provided by the 98 B-Line bus, running along Seymour and Howe Streets in Downtown Vancouver, and along Granville Street and over the Arthur Laing and Moray Bridges via Airport Station.
